This pressure-balanced backshell system maintains reliable connectivity at extreme ocean depths while resisting corrosive seawater exposure.As a Gender Changer, this component provides hydrostatic pressure compensation up to 10,000 psi while preventing hydrogen embrittlement in high-pressure hydrogen sulfide environments.Featuring 15, 15 positions, the design supports multiplexed sensor arrays used in subsea production control systems while preventing seawater ingress.With Unshielded construction, the backshell prevents interference from ROV thrusters and other high-current subsea equipment while meeting API 17F requirements.Constructed from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), the housing withstands 20-year service life in seawater with cathodic protection systems per NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 standards.The Mating Screws 4-40 implementation allows for ROV-operated connection/disconnection while maintaining IP68 sealing integrity at 10,000-meter depths.The Black finish provides high visibility in low-light subsea environments while resisting biofouling accumulation.
