Indium-based cold welds maintain vacuum integrity in cryostats.Composed of Copper Alloy, the contacts achieve near-zero resistance. Oxygen-free copper variants are preferred for ultra-high vacuum compatibility.Finished with Tin coating, the contacts prevent outgassing. Gold-plated versions meet NASA outgassing standards for space applications.With 100.0µin (2.54µm) plating, the contacts prevent thermal anchoring.
